The GM Reaction Ball is a worthwhile purchase if your goal is to improve reaction time and catching ability.

Extra Grip
A spare rubber bat grip. Keep one in the kit bag — grips wear out faster than anything else on a bat, and a worn grip costs you control at exactly the wrong moment.
When to replace your grip
If the rubber has gone shiny, hardened, or started to split at the shoulders, replace it. A grip that slips or slides under your bottom hand changes how the bat turns in your hands through the shot. Most players who bat regularly get through two or three a season.
Fitting
Grips go on with a grip cone, rolled down over the handle from the top. If you have not done it before, it takes about a minute once you have the cone — or bring the bat into our Houston store and we will fit it while you wait.
Add one to any bat order. Also worth pairing with an anti-scuff sheet and a toe guard set if you are protecting a new bat.
