Who this bat suits

The high sweet spot is the distinguishing feature here. Sitting around 200–210mm from the toe, the middle is well up the blade — which rewards back-foot play, pulls, cuts and anything short. On bouncier surfaces, that is where the ball meets the bat. If you play most of your cricket on pitches with pace and carry, or you are a batter who scores square of the wicket, this is a better fit than a low-middled bat.

Worth knowing: this is the counterpart to the Glare Pro 2.1 Elite at the same price and grade. Same willow, same weight band — the Glare has a low sweet spot for front-foot players, the Prism a high one for back-foot players. If you are choosing between them, that is the decision, not price.

Knocking-in

Ships with Kookaburra's Pre-Prepared (KPP) finish, so the initial fibre compression is partly done at the factory. It is not fully match-ready. A further knocking-in session, especially across the edges and toe where bats fail first, will extend its playing life considerably.
