Who this bat suits

The low swell position puts mass toward the toe, which makes this a front-foot player's bat — it rewards driving and playing straight rather than nudging and accumulating. Combined with the large toe depth and PowerArc bow, it is built for striking the ball.

Grade 1 is the cleanest, most consistently grained willow GM offers, and it is also the softest and most responsive — it performs best once properly bedded in, and rewards a player who looks after it. The 2lb 9oz to 2lb 12oz range means pick-up varies between individual bats, so tell us what you prefer and we will select accordingly.

Knocking-in

The GM NOW! finish means no oiling is required. Knocking-in still is — and Grade 1 willow needs it most. The fibres must be compressed gradually before the bat faces a hard ball, typically six to eight hours across several sessions. Skipping it is the usual cause of a bat cracking in its first season, and it is not covered by warranty.
